Modelling Economies in Transition 2007

AMFET conferences have been organized in conjunction with the international MACROMODELS conferences since 1995. This is a forum for presenting a variety of problems in transition economies, specifically problems previously unknown under the centrally planned system, such as unemployment and inflation on the one hand, and an active role of fiscal or monetary policy on the other hand. As was shown during AMFET conferences in the years 1995-2006, there is empirical evidence that some specific transition mechanisms are common to a broad group of countries, especially emerging markets.
